O Governo de São Paulo chegou a um acordo com o Ministério da Saúde para a aquisição via SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde) de 46 milhões de doses da vacina Coronavac, desenvolvida em parceria internacional entre a biofarmacêutica Sinovac Life Science e o Instituto Butantan, até o final de dezembro de 2020.
Testes confirmam que vacina do Butantan é a mais segura em fase final no Brasil
O Governo Federal confirmou que irá adquirir o imunizante após aprovação na Anvisa. O potencial imunizante contra o coronavírus está em fase final de estudos clínicos no Brasil e se mostrou totalmente seguro nos testes realizados desde o final de julho.
O acordo foi realizado durante reunião virtual entre o Governador João Doria, o Ministro Eduardo Pazuello e outros 23 chefes de estados brasileiros.
A expectativa é que a vacinação nacional possa iniciar em janeiro do próximo ano. Os detalhes sobre a inclusão da Coronavac no Plano Nacional de Imunizações serão divulgados após a formalização do acordo.
