Saúde oferece vacina contra quatro sorotipos de meningite bacteriana

A Secretaria da Saúde de Assis informa que já está disponível em todas as Unidades de Saúde do município a vacina que protege contra quatro sorotipos de meningite bacteriana, tida como a mais grave. A vacina A, C, W e Y  é destinada a adolescentes de 11 e 12 anos.

Atualmente já é oferecida a vacina contra o sorotipo C, que é indicada para bebês, aos três, cinco e 12 meses de vida.

Para receber a vacina, os pais ou responsáveis devem levar a criança ou adolescentes na Unidade de Saúde próxima da residência, portando a carteira de vacinação.
