Na véspera do feriado de 1º de maio cerca de 10 coqueiros que foram plantados pela Secretaria Municipal de Agricultura e Meio Ambiente de Assis sofreram, em especial os que estavam plantados na rotatória próxima ao Terminal Rodoviário de Assis.
“Logo pela manhã, infelizmente nos deparamos com uma cena lamentável. Os 10 coqueiros que a Prefeitura plantou para ornamentar uma das entradas da cidade, naquela rotatória, estavam todos quebrados, todos no chão. Um ato de vandalismo que entristece muito, pois além de depredar o patrimônio que teve custos aos cofres púbicos, também compromete e prejudica toda a ornamentação que a Secretaria tem feito em toda a cidade”, considerou Fábio Nossack, secretário de Agricultura e Meio Ambiente.
Após o incidente, a Secretaria vai analisar e estudar a melhor época para o replantio dos coqueiros, considerando que, no momento, o clima seco não é favorável para plantios dessa espécie.
Desde 2017 a Prefeitura já plantou infinitas mudas de coqueiros, ipês brancos e amarelos, além de outras espécies de árvores em diversas vias do Município, com o objetivo de embelezá-lo e promover clima mais fresco principalmente em épocas de calor.
