A Prefeitura de Assis pretende mapear as árvores da cidade. O censo verde objetiva levantar o número total de árvores, espécie e saúde do pé. O projeto está em fase de elaboração e será realizado por uma parceria entre a Secretaria de Agricultura e Meio Ambiente com o IPT – Instituto de Pesquisas Técnológicas. Cledir Mendes, encarregado de setor da pasta, comenta sobre esse levantamento.
