Segundo Graziela Cristina de Oliveira, presidente do Conselho Municipal do Idoso da cidade, até onde percebe mesmo antes de ter assumido a Pasta, os idosos são bem assistidos, tanto pela família, quanto pelos asilos locais. Ela cita que toda a sociedade está mais preocupada com os idosos, e que, em Assis, o Poder Público está bastante voltado a esse atendimento.
