A deterioração do asfalto na Avenida Benedito Pires é alvo de constantes reclamações de usuários, que alertam para o alto risco de acidentes no local. Isso levou a Prefeitura de Assis a remanejar seu trabalho de reperfilagem e providenciar, em caráter emergencial, uma operação nos trechos mais críticos. O secretário municipal de Obras, Clóvis Marcelino, fala desse serviço.
