Há 15 dias vale um novo horário da coleta de lixo na cidade de Assis. Está sendo feita agora em toda a cidade de segunda a sábado, das 7h30 às 11h30. Supermercados, condomínios e bairros rurais a coleta ocorre no período da tarde. Já para as lojas do comércio no centro, a coleta é realizada no período da manhã, até as 8h45. O secretário do Meio Ambiente, Fábio Nossack, afirma que o munícipe deve ficar atento aos novos horários e depositar o lixo em horário adequado conforme programação do setor.
